Blog - Watching the Kahungungu Primary Schools' Kapahaka Festival
We had the opportunity to go to the kapahaka festival to tautoko family and fr iends. Some of the comments from the tamariki were:
"I love their dresses, they're pretty" - Anaia "I want to do the haka one day" - Marama "The haka was cool" - Roe
"They sing nice" - Aveigh
"I saw my brother!" - Ripeka "I saw Estelle!" - Denaea
"I like their feathers" - Keeliya
"I saw my mum and sister, I like the kapahaka" - Seazer
The tamariki sat so engrossed in the performance. We saw some past whanau of Te Tirahou which was awesome to see the children say hi. Seazer got to sit with his dad which was very special. We were very proud to hear Seazers mum had worked so hard on the kapahaka group and what a performance it was! Well done Bridge Pa School, we were very honoured to tautoko your performance!
